The Rose Rises

This was a small event held by Jara's Canton. He was in charge of the Rapier event. Sadly we only had 4 fencers but they had fun. Plus once it was dinner time a group of us headed to "the German Haus" for authentic german food, most of which I can not eat BUT the owner was this super amazing man who hand makes all the sauces and made mine special so I could eat there.

The night was super damp and cold but we really enjoyed the folks we got to hang with, I learned lots about our friend Blozieo which is great!

OH yea! so I re-injured my arm/wrist/fingers/shoulder back at the end of July and this was the first event I wore my hand made arm sling, it turned out very nice.

How times have changed and how things that once were OK are not and no longer carry the same feeling or intent.  When you think of the word “woman” and do you automatically think bitch or hussy, baggage or bit? According to various traditional dictionaries, synonyms for “woman”, which came as a bit of a shock, and possibly more insightful on why certain generations use words such as these to describe a woman. Rock, Paper, Control

The feeling of no control. No control over my mental health, my weight, or my physical health. I like to have things planned and organized because that give me some control in my life. I feel though, like those little things are just pieces of paper with a rock on them on a windy day, soon they to will be out of my control. I once had control over my health and weight, but that was nearly 14 yrs ago. Each year I advance in age I loose more and more control over those two things. No Dr. or specialist seem to know why. Back when I had control, my weight would fluctuate but nothing substantial. I was a ball of anxiety and stress back then as well, so nothing there changed. I was more active in those days, doing all the things all the time. Not sure if that was to hide from my brain weasels or having to go home and be around my mother. Lets Call this Doggie Photo Dump there are really no stories to go with many of these photos. Basically she loves watching the neighbor kids play outside. she enjoys her snuggle time on the love seat and of course we gave her yet another bath this time with her very own dog towels.
