Slept in once again but this time we had plans it was about 5pm and all three of us headed to the LRT (train) and headed to Clairview to eat at Boston Pizza and then go see a movie. Finally I got to see “The Dark Night” which I feel I’m the only person on earth that hasn’t seen it yet. Now there are people who gush about how this is the best movie of the year and others say it was just all fluff and the most common thing I’ve herd is that it’s the most violent Batman every.

And, well I’m not sure how to describe what I felt. “Is batman in this movie?” is something I’ve read about this movie and I can honestly say yes he shows up every now and then. “it’s the most violent Batman ever” is another thing I’ve mentioned, well maybe but then again we are so numb to violence this day in age, but its PG-13 I think.. How violent could it be?

I know I haven’t really said what I think of it. I can’t say it’s all the rage yet I can’t say it blows. I do believe this is one side of Heath Ledger I’ve never seen in a movie, he blew my mind. Now I’ve seen most of his movies, and he always plays it safe but this was an amazing performance. And I’m not saying this just because he happened to pass away shortly after the movie. I was captivated by the joker in this movie; I yearned to see more to learn more. Not saying Jack Nicolson was a poor joker but I was blown away at Legers performance.

I first fell in love with him in “10 things I hate about you” which was in 1999, then in “the Patriot” in 2000, and let’s not forget the movie “A Knights Tale” in 2001; Most of my friends had posters in their dorm rooms from that movie. Now there were many movies between that one and “The Brothers Grimm” in 2005 but this movie was so great it’s hard to pass up mentioning. And of course in the same year his gender bending “Brokeback Mountain”, so what I’m trying to say is I’m not new to his acting or his skills as an actor.

So here is a little tribute to Heath Ledger
