So I finally got to bed about 3am this morning to be woken up by this welding grinding noise. I sat up listened out the window, what could they be doing down there. Now mind you there are some really strange noises and things these people do in the ally of the apts. If they are remodeling an apt and need to cut wood or any thing they have to do it out there. So Obviously I thought they were grinding or welding or something. But from neither window could I see a single thing!
So I tried to wake up Chris to ask him what that noise was, but he was out cold. So I started to investigate the apt to where I was lead to the noise in our hall way NOT the ally outside our apt. It was a fire alarm that had been going off for like 20 min that I couldn’t figure out what it was. And I’m sure slept threw at least 5 min of the alarm. I woke Chris up scared out of my mind. I’ve never been in an apt with a fire alarm going off. But no one was evacuating at all. He told me not to worry about it because people pull those things all the time and it’s nothing to worry about.
Then I popped my head out the door again to see if I could smell smoke, or a sign of anyone else. No nothing. So I paced the apt for a bit checking windows for fire trucks or smoke or something. Finally my nerves got Chris out of bed, by then the alarms were turned off and a few fire men trotted past my door. (Which I was peeping out the peep hole)

Chris had to be to work soon so he said on his way down he would check things out. But when he got to our lobby our desk isn’t ever open till past 4pm so there was no one working there to find out what happened. But the firemen came and left and I’m not dead yet so all is good I guess.
I feel miss informed, like there should be a desk worker during normal business hours not 4pm – 8pm only. I mean I guess turning off the alarms is a way of telling people its ok, but still!
