HAY DAYS 2008

Today Chris and I met up with his Uncle Ed, Aunt Leann, and his two Cousins Samantha and Joshua. We all went to the Hay Day fair festival, Chris and I got in for free because this was put on by Capital X which is ran by Northlands the company he works for. Everyone got a ride wrist band but me, there are only a few rides I would/can go on and to be honest those few were not worth 40 dollars for a wrist band. So I became the official holder of things as well as photographer, which I didn’t mind at all the kids were really excited to get photos taken of them on the rides and boy if I thought Chris was a big kid his uncle is the same way both of them running about the fun houses with the kids me and his aunt could only smile and laugh.

We took a break from rides to watch a show where two men created a fountain of diet cola and mentose. It was quite amazing to see. They had bottles set up in specific places all triggered with a pull system of pins. And all this was choreographed to music too!

After that we went on more rides till we headed inside for some food and sitting down. They had a whole trade show in there as well as an indoor casino for all your gambling needs. After food rides were not on the list ^_^ So it was game time, I was very surprised that to play a simple game it was 3 or more dollars to play one game! Let’s just say it was mainly the two kids that did the game playing.

Later on Samantha wanted to go buy some caterpillars. You see there is this whole room of butterflies, they fly around you land on you and what not. It was so cool to be in there. She showed me how to pick them up and how to get them to open their wings to show their colors. Inside this place you can buy the caterpillars take them home and watch them cocoon and become butterflies.

By time we were done in there the fireworks started. It was also time for good ol’ carnival food! I had an elephant ear and cotton candy while Chris had corndogs. They were the best corndogs I’ve ever had, I can not lie about this ^_^

On our way out we stopped to talk to Chris’s grandpa again, during our lunch we came to talk to him the first time. Speaking of first times, this was the first time I met him, and just like the rest of Chris’s family he was all smiles and hugs.

But now its time for sleep I’ve had a very long day
