July 3rd

Today was another hot one in the 90’s; luckily the football game was at 8pm. We took off about 6 to get there by 8, took the train and bought the tickets… so weird to just buy tickets at the stadium. The tickets were like 40 bucks a person and pretty good seats row 34 seats 15&16 we were right on the end zone. We went there a bit early to make sure we could get tickets and so I could be a total tourist ^_^ It was very weird to see all that green and gold and PA system ‘lets hear it for our green and gold” and “show your support for your green and gold”. To commemorate my first football game in Canada and to how our support for our home team we wandered to the shop. Chris always wanted a jersey for the Eskimos. So BAM he just buys himself a CFL jersey and hat for the team and buys me a CFL jersey as well, it’s huge but he liked it so bought it for me.

After we changed to team colors we headed to our seats and Chris went and got us water and hotdogs, seriously the hotdogs were the size of our brats at Lambo, it was crazy.

Soon the stadium filled up and the game started. This was their first home game and only second game of the season. The Esk’s started off strong and keep that way threw the whole game. It was a great game to be able to be at; it wasn’t slow or boring like the few I watched on the TV so far. The weather turned from to hot to handle to humid, sticky and hard to breathe but by 4th quarter it was much cooler and had a nice breeze.

Toward the end of the 4th the chargers (Calgary) was ahead we had like just over a min or so to play and it was our ball, and this amazing play and the guy who has dropped all throws to him so far actually caught it and ran his butt off then, mind you know one seems to know how but he makes it to the end zone and just that he just made the corner for the win. The crowd went crazy the whole stadium was raring it was unreal feeling.
