July 12th

Well today was the day Chris and I headed out to the lake to meet and visit the family. It was about an hour plus drive to get to their place. Once we got there the kids all ran out to meet their big brother with hugs and kisses. We hung out on their front deck for a bit just chit chatting and getting to know each other till lunch time. After we ate the girls had a birthday party to go to so they headed out for that and Chris and I just chilled in the house playing WOW.

Kiefer was napping while we were in the house, so once he woke up we headed out side and Chris and I tossed around the baseball. But of course little Kiefer wanted to play, so we sat in the grass and rolled the baseball between us. Keifer is 1 year old and still not used to Chris and really not used to me so playing ball was a good achievement.

Once the girls got home we all changed into our swim suits loaded up the boat and headed to the lake. They had just bought a 3 person tube to ride on so to day was its maiden voyage and the girls were so excited. It was glorious sunshine all day but wouldn’t you know it once we arrived the sun went away. First up Chris’s mom and two sisters got on the tube and we pulled them along the lake for a while. You would think a 5 and almost 3 year old would be scared going that fast and what not, but those girls were nothing but smiles. The weather not to far from us was raining but we were still good to go, so Chris and I were next to hop on the tube. The water was getting really rough and got to the point it wasn’t safe anymore the reg, non-motor made waves were throwing me at least 2 feet off the tube and slamming me back down which was excruciatingly painful so Chris had to give mark (his mothers husband) the stop the boat sign and then the water took over the raft and we were drenched. After we climbed back on the boat we headed home to get into some dry clothes and have some supper.

Once we cleaned up the table headed outside again to just sit and talk, once it got later we went inside to play dice. Soon the girls were ready to bed and wouldn’t you know it they wouldn’t go to sleep unless I went in and gave them hugs and said goodnight to them ^_^

Now it was just us grownups awake, so we pulled out the munchies and continued to play dice and shoot the bull. We got to bed around 3am.

Next morning Chris and I slept in till 11:30 and they made breakfast for lunch, but we had to get going to his aunt and Uncles house yet so we took some photos and headed out.

How times have changed and how things that once were OK are not and no longer carry the same feeling or intent.  When you think of the word “woman” and do you automatically think bitch or hussy, baggage or bit? Today at my place of work a gentleman came up to my counter and said "Hello Beautiful" to me. Now, this customer does come in several times a week and is not a total stranger when I'm at work but still. Rock, Paper, Control

The feeling of no control. No control over my mental health, my weight, or my physical health. I like to have things planned and organized because that give me some control in my life. I feel though, like those little things are just pieces of paper with a rock on them on a windy day, soon they to will be out of my control. I once had control over my health and weight, but that was nearly 14 yrs ago. Each year I advance in age I loose more and more control over those two things. No Dr. or specialist seem to know why. Back when I had control, my weight would fluctuate but nothing substantial. I was a ball of anxiety and stress back then as well, so nothing there changed. I was more active in those days, doing all the things all the time. Not sure if that was to hide from my brain weasels or having to go home and be around my mother.
