Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!!!

Today Chris worked 6am till 2pm and I was packed and ready to go asap when he got home. We headed out to the Lake or better known as Athabasca where his mom and family lives. This would be my first thanksgiving with my new family. It has been a long time since the days of happy family thanksgivings with a collected group of family. So I wasn’t sure what to expect with this family, we met up at his mothers home and just made it in time for dinner the whole family was already there (his Mom and her husband Mark, his two sisters and brother: Cheyenne, Vanessa, and Keiffer, along with his grandpa and his wife heather and Uncle Ed and aunt Leann with their two children Samantha and Joshua)

When we got there we had our round of hugs and kisses then went into the living room with all the guys, soon I was hearing Oh Miss Gwynndolynn coming from the kitchen. So I headed in there the girls wanted me to hang out in the kitchen to chat with them even if I didn’t know how to cook or anything they wanted to include me. Not only does Chris’ family always make me feel included and loved but I feel like I’ve always been apart of their family, do you know that this meal was prepared with me in mind, meaning my allergies and such <3

How times have changed and how things that once were OK are not and no longer carry the same feeling or intent.  When you think of the word “woman” and do you automatically think bitch or hussy, baggage or bit? According to various traditional dictionaries, synonyms for “woman”, which came as a bit of a shock, and possibly more insightful on why certain generations use words such as these to describe a woman. Rock, Paper, Control

The feeling of no control. No control over my mental health, my weight, or my physical health. I like to have things planned and organized because that give me some control in my life. I feel though, like those little things are just pieces of paper with a rock on them on a windy day, soon they to will be out of my control. I once had control over my health and weight, but that was nearly 14 yrs ago. Each year I advance in age I loose more and more control over those two things. No Dr. or specialist seem to know why. Back when I had control, my weight would fluctuate but nothing substantial. I was a ball of anxiety and stress back then as well, so nothing there changed. I was more active in those days, doing all the things all the time. Not sure if that was to hide from my brain weasels or having to go home and be around my mother. Lets Call this Doggie Photo Dump there are really no stories to go with many of these photos. Basically she loves watching the neighbor kids play outside. she enjoys her snuggle time on the love seat and of course we gave her yet another bath this time with her very own dog towels.
