Last night our D-Link gave out, this device allows us to have internet to more then one computer as well as wireless internet. So while I got ready for the game Chris headed out and had to buy a new one. Fun random expense
We drove to the Ag Building (Rexall) where Chris works and parked the car because the game started at 7pm, and he had to work at midnight. So after dealing with security and stupid people we parked the car and walked to the stadium.
We got super sweet seats on the goal line row 2 which actually is the first row of seats. Once we found our seats we sat down and enjoyed two giant hot dogs and some bottled water.
For the first Quarter we remained dry then a sneaky dark cloud found its way over the stadium. You see the Eskimos stadium is a lot like Lambeau Field in many ways besides the green and gold pride it also is an open stadium where you get rained and snowed upon.
At First the Rain was not bad but soon we pulled out the umbrella and still found one side soaked because we were to large to fit both of us under it. After second quarter ended the rain stopped and we were able to enjoy the game once more with out being under cover of the umbrella. But wouldn’t you know it by the third quarter the rain cloud came back, I think it wanted to see the game too ^_^
So we were drenched, freezing and shaking from the cold by time the game was over. But our team won 19 to 17!!! Once that was over we had a long walk back to his work, which it started to rain once again after we got out of the parking lot. So we speed walked the whole way dodging people practically running right through puddles. Now I said we were soaked before, no… no NOW we were soaked head to toe!
Once we arrived at his work we left puddles from just walking in the hallways so much that one of his co-workers followed the dripping mess to us. Chris was lucky he had a work shirt and work boots he got to change into but luckily he had a t-shirt from one day he roller bladed to work in there so I could at least be a little more dry. Plus he gave me his work jacket too, and while I was changing he made me Hot Cocoa to warm me up. A few min later two of his co-workers walked in just as soaked as we were. They were security at the game and came here to dry off a bit before they headed home, so we all hung out and talked in the break room. Once Midnight rolled around Chris asked Johnny (his co-worker) if hed take me home since I was ½ dry by now, and of course he did ^_^
